Reese's Peanut Butter Popcorn Recipe on twopeasandtheirpod.com

We spent most of our Sunday watching football and the Golden Globes. I wanted a sweet treat, but was not in the mood to bake. Surprise, huh? 🙂 I was going to make our Twix Caramel Popcorn, but didn’t have any Twix candy bars, so I made a batch of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Popcorn instead. So happy I found my stash of Reese’s:) This popcorn is divine-think caramel corn, but with a peanut butter honey coating instead of the caramel. Oh, and it gets better, I also added a drizzle of chocolate and mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups to the mix.  I was in sweet treat heaven with this Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Popcorn!

Reese's Peanut Butter Cup Popcorn Recipe on twopeasandtheirpod.com Love this sweet popcorn! A great treat for movie night, game day, or parties!

Reese's Peanut Butter Popcorn Recipe on twopeasandtheirpod.com Great for snacking or gift giving!

I love how easy this popcorn is to make. You don’t have to bake it in the oven, you just combine peanut butter, honey, sugar, and vanilla on the stove and cook it for a few minutes. You pour the hot peanut butter mixture over your popcorn and gently stir until all of the popcorn is coated. I spread the popcorn out on a baking sheet and drizzled it with chocolate. I let the popcorn sit for a whole five minutes, I couldn’t wait any longer for the chocolate to harden, then I added the mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

I filled a bowl with popcorn and munched away while I watched the end of the Golden Globes. Yes, I was indulging while watching all of those skinny actresses. I think some of them needed a bowl of my popcorn:) The popcorn is sweet, gooey, with a slightly salty kick. And just when you think the popcorn can’t get any better, you will get a handful with a Mini Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup-chocolate peanut butter bliss!

This popcorn is perfect for movie night, game day, or any day really. I know I could eat a big bowl every day:) I am going to make a big batch of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Popcorn for our Super Bowl party. I know it will be a hit!

I mean, you wouldn’t want to miss out on having enough for yourself, right? I distinctly remember making edamame-guacamole for last year’s SB and counting on having leftovers to use on my sandwiches during the week. I was wrong, totally wrong. If that’s what happens with good-for-you green stuff, imagine the damage that your friends will do on this!

  8. Are you sure you’re not pregnant because this has preggers cravings written all over it! Who was your fave best dressed at the Globes?

  11. I love how you improvised with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. I’m a sucker for Harry & Davids Moose Munch – this reminds me of it. Interesting how you made a Reese’s snack for the Globes, maybe Reese Witherspoon was your inspiration 😉

  12. I don’t know how you can keep ingredients like Reese’s Peanut Butter cups in the house for a last minute dessert like this. I have absolutely no will power and would have eaten those peanut butter cups until they were gone the first day back from the store.

  13. I asked for a popcorn popper for christmas because I wanted to make your twix popcorn… Now I want this too! Maybe tonight…

  14. Looks delicious! I haven’t made a caramel corn that doesn’t get baked before – will have to try this out.

  15. Peanut butter and chocolate are two of my favorite combinations! Yum!

  16. Perfect quick treat to satisfy my daily hungry cravings! I think a cereal bowl of this stuff would be a lot healthier than eating my usual 5 cookies, too! 😀

  27. Oh my oh my! This looks like the most delicious thing E.V.E.R. Pinning this one for sure!

  28. I wonder if it’s sticky. I wonder if it would be better dried out in the oven like I do my caramel popcorn? (before drizzling the chocolate and adding the mini reese’s , of course….. what do you think?

  29. I made this yesterday and overall I think it turned out pretty well. I only melted 1/2 a cup of choco chips and it was plenty! Mine looked more drizzled than yours. Also, I had some trouble breaking up the clumps of popcorn after spreading it out onto the baking sheet so maybe I did something wrong? It’s not as crunchy as I thought it would be. It’s good and I may try it again for the Superbowl. Thanks!

  30. I remember years ago my mom taking chocolate from the theatre and adding it to popcorn. I thought she was nuts. Now, I realize it`s a great combo. And these peanut butter cups takes that up a notch. I`m craving this now!

  33. Ijust made this and it was so good. The bowl was gone in a few hours. I didn’t eat it all by myself, though I could have if I tried. Thanks for the great site and recipes.

  34. Couldn’t resist making this since I first eyed it pre-Superbowl, but made a batch for my two teenagers for Valentine’s day. Packed it up in a Valentines Cookie box with bow and it looks like I just spent alot of money at our local sweep shop. Of course had to taste it during the mix to make sure it was right! Oh, my, off the New Year’s Resoultion diet for the day. Coudn’t get, my chocolate chip liquid enough to pour, so I added a 1/2 TSP of organic Coconut spread for cooking/baking. Anyone know how to get it melted to be able to pour?

  35. Just wanted to Thank You for this recipe! I made this for my Husband for Valentines Day and he Loved it! I realy loved how the peanut butter carmel came out, and the combination of the Reese Cups (his fav) and Popcorn is to die for. This is an absolute keeper 🙂

  36. I made this popcorn last night for my Oscars party, and it delicious – a huge hit! I actually mistakenly mixed the PB, honey and sugar all together in the pot instead of cooking the honey and sugar separately, and the popcorn still came out great. I threw it in the freezer to harden up quickly.

    Thanks for a great recipe!

  37. I helped a friend make this last night for a baby shower – it’s amazing! Had to pin the recipe for myself!

  39. I just have to tell you, I came across this recipe over the summer, and made it a few times whenever I got the craving…it is so good, and unfortunately, so quick and easy to make! During my holiday baking this season, I remembered the recipe, and thought it might pair nicely with cookie trays, and something easy to hand out in bags. Well…I’m on my 4th batch and just can’t stop! Everyone loves it! I ran out of the Reeses for my most recent batch, so I added in some leftover holiday Peanut Butter M&M’s. Tastes just as good and looks festive too. I’m looking forward to taking a big container to my NYE party. Something sweet to snack on! Thanks for sharing this recipe!

  40. I made this today for a Circus-themed bridal shower. We put it on the tables in old fashioned popcorn boxes, as part of the centerpiece for people to snack on. Delicious and a huge hit!

I have been loving your kettle corn recipe and now I have a box of mini peanut butter cups from trader joes so i’m going to make this tomorrow!Do you ever not eat it all in one sitting and have leftovers? My grandson’s favorite milkshake is peanut butter so when I saw this I thought he’d love it and he said it sounded fantastic! Well it tastes as good as it sounds! He loves candy corn so I added some of that and also some chopped butterfingers as well as the peanut butter cups. We will bring him some for an after school snack. Thank you!
