Pretzel M&M Cookies
Updated March 26, 2019
Have you tried Pretzel M&M’s? We splurged and bought a bag this weekend. They are the latest addition to the M&M family and they are scrumptious. The M&M’s have a colorful candy shell, like all M&M’s, but inside the milk chocolate there is a crunchy pretzel. Genius! I had to hide the bag from Josh. I wasn’t trying to hog them, I just wanted to save them to bake pretzel M&M cookies.
Last week I couldn’t use our oven because our kitchen was under construction. It still is, but Josh cleaned up the mess so I could cook and bake this week. It is probably the last week I will have access to our kitchen until the kitchen remodel is finished. I am going to make the most of this week. Yesterday, I baked a batch of pretzel M&M cookies. If you have tried the new pretzel M&M’s and are in love, like us, just wait until you taste these cookies. They are amazing!
I added the M&M’s to a chocolate chip cookie dough. I also sprinkled the cookie balls with sea salt to bring out the salty flavor in the pretzels. The cookies have a little crunch from the pretzel M&M’s and there is plenty of chocolate to go around. I love the sweet and salty combination.
I am going to stock up on pretzel M&M’s so I can bake never ending batches of these cookies. Go buy a bag today and get baking!

The Pretzel M&M’s are my favorite! I cannot keep them in the house otherwise I eat handfuls at a time! Thanks for a great new cookie recipe 🙂
So fun. Chocolate and pretzels is a winning combination, so I’m sure these are fantastic. Ah! I cannot wait to see your finished kitchen. Very awesome that you guys are doing the work yourselves.
I love the pretzel M&Ms. Now I”m going to have to try these cookies. They sound fabulous.
I’ve yet to try those M&M’s, but I can just imagine how good they’d be in these cookies. Chocolate and pretzels are one of my favorite combos.
So cute!! I love combining sweet and salty!
I haven’t tried Pretzel M&M’s. In fact this is the first I’m hearing about them. I’ll have to look for them. Your cookies look great.
I can’t find the pretzel M&Ms yet! I am dying to try them.
Yum! Sounds like the ultimate sweet/salty combo. Hope the pretzel M&Ms are available in Canada ’cause I might just have to bake a batch of these today!
My husband LOVES pretzel M&Ms. I like them, but have never been a huge fan of pretzels before. I’ve been planning on making pretzel M&M ice cream but ever since the first bag of them I bought I haven’t been able to find them anywhere 🙁 I keep looking though so someday soon I hope!
I bought a 3 lb. bag of those in May when we were still in Kansas and made the same thing, ccc’s with the M&M’s in them. I really liked them. You beat me though, I never did get that post up.
My girls love the pretzel M & M’s. I’m just positive they’d have to come straight from the store into the cookies. They know all my hiding places.
Oh my gosh, we love those pretzel m&m’s, looks great!!
Yes!! We have tried the pretzel M&M’s and LOVE them!! Since my two little boys have nut allergies, they are the only other M&M they can have besides plain. M&M’s are their favorite treat! I have to head to the grocery store today and these M&M’s are on the list. I’m making these for family night tonight. YAY!!!
Your cookies look wonderful. Now you’re making me want to go down to the newstand and buy myself a bag of these M&Ms for my afternoon snack.
Pretzels and chocolate are always a favorite! I have never tried these M & M’s, sounds like they are great out of hand or in your FAB cookies 🙂 Your re-model is gonna be so awesome!
I love that commercial! lol. Great looking cookies!
I have seen these little m&m’s but have yet to try them. I will be hunting them down soon now. And in a cookie, can’t get better than that!
I’ve been dying to try the new pretzel ones but I keep forgetting to look for them in the stores. Once I do, I’ll be making this cookies too. They sound great!
I fell in love with the pretzel M &M’s last month when I had them for the first time. This is an excellent way to incorporate more of them into my diet! Your cookies look excellent!
i haven’t tried those m&m’s yet, but they look great! I think I’ll buy a bag to try, and try these cookies too 🙂
These cookies look incredible… I am now tempted to run out and buy a bag of the pretzel M&Ms. Maybe I should buy 2 bags since I will probably end up snacking on them all before I get to bake any cookies!
I love the combination of salty and sweet! I haven’t even heard of pretzel M&Ms but I might have to make a trip to the store today to find some!
Good luck with your kitchen remodel!
i’m totally in love with those new m&m’s mmmmm!!!!!
Holy yum!!
I have been seeking out the pretzel M+Ms but haven’t come across them yet. As soon as I do, these cookies will most certainly be made!
What a great combination of flavors.
Can’t wait to try this recipe. Haven’t had the Pretzel M&M’s yet though, but effeminately will.
What a fun idea! I can’t wait to make these with my kids!
I’m a fan of the pretzel M&M’s. I too thought about making them into cookies, glad you did too ;]… Great photos !
You make these look amazing…. which I am sure they are. Thanks for creating and sharing.
I haven’t tried those yet, but I know they’ll be wonderful. I love the chocolate/pretzel combo! These cookies look great- I’ll have to try them when I find some of the M&Ms. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Never had Pretzel M&M’s before, but these look fantastic! Would be great snacks.
Sadly I was NOT a fan of the Pretzel m&m’s. They didn’t taste like pretzels to me, more like Whoppers and I’ve never liked those. However, give a plain bag of m&m’s and I’m happy.
Love the sweet/salty combo of pretzel M&M’s! Great cookies!
I hadn’t heard of pretzel m&m’s, but I’m determined to find them now! Sweet of Josh to clear the way for you to bake. 🙂
I absolutely love pretzels and could snack on them all day every day. Plus, I can’t get enough of M&Ms. I have to try this recipe! Although…I think it would be dangerous to have these in the house!
I bet these were delicious with the sweet and salty. Pretty too!
no way a bag of those m&ms would make it into cookies if i’m in the vicinity, but it’s a tasty idea!
The new M&Ms are SO good – what a brilliant idea to make them into cookie form! : )
Pretzel M&M’s are my newest favorite treat and this is my newest favorite blog! I love you….oops, sorry, did I write that out loud?! Everything I’ve looked at so far looks amazing and delicious!! I will definitely be making these before long…just got to figure out how to eat dozens of cookies without gaining weight….hmmmm (portion control is not something I’m good at)
Thanks so much! Glad you found our blog.
I love chocolate covered pretzels. These looks AMAZING! Hope the remodel is going well 🙂
I haven’t tried those M&Ms yet and it’s probably best for me to stay away! That is the ultimate combination…there used to be a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor, Chubby Hubby, that had choc pretzels in the ice cream….oh heavenly. These cookies look awesome!!
I was just talking tonight about how I thought those m&m’s would be good in cookies! It sounds like they were great. Now I really have to try it out!!
Yum! I love pretzels and chocolate together, and the new M&Ms have been haunting me since I had a taste sometime in June.
I can’t wait to see pictures of the remodel!
I haven’t tried the pretzel M&M’s because I’m hooked on the coconut flavored M&M’s!
I’ve been wanting to try these. Now I have another reason
Haha I baked something with them too! Aren’t they good? They’re addicting.
These cookies look fabulous! Nice work.
I didn’t love the pretzel M&M’s but I bet they are delicious in a cookie! Those look good!
I can’t wait to get my hands on some pretzel M&Ms. The combination of sweet and salty is right up my alley and I will definitely be trying these cookies.
Those look like the perfect kid cookie. I can’t wait to try them!
I haven’t tried these new m&ms. These cookies sound so yummy and fun.
These look great – I’ve already had quite a few bags of pretzel m&m’s. Pretzels are one of my favorite foods so when I heard about the new m&m’s, I bolted to the store. 🙂
The question is not if I will make these, but how fast I can get to the store!
Addictive!!!! ;D
These look amazing! Love the salty sweet combo! I must give these a try!!
Aaaaah, I am DYING to try those M&Ms! Now you’ve made my craving even worse… These cookies look absolutely delicious! Good thing I don’t live closer, or else you might have me knocking on your door…
shut up
So colourful!
I have been meaning to try those LOL
If you like them, you should try the Compost Cookie recipe from Momofuku [look here- http://www.amateurgourmet.com/2010/02/momofuku_milk_bars_compost_cookie_recipe.html%5D
Our favorite combination for these cookies is milk chocolate chips, potato chips and pretzels . . . heaven!
I laughed over the commercial for these when I saw it the other day. Love those talking m&ms. : ) Your cookies would be a big hit with my kiddos. I bet the m&ms would taste great in brownies too.
Those pretzel m&ms are crazy delicious! I went a little nuts with them on the 4th of July. Bet they are even more dangerous in cookie form. Can’t wait to try the recipe!
T he new pretzel M&Ms are super yummy .Just tried the recipe but the cookies didn’t seem to spread like the ones in your picture. 🙁
Can’t figure out why but they still taste pretty good. I think I will lower the oven temp to 350 and skip the sprinking of salt…too salty for me but I use very little salt in cooking and baking so I am very sensitive to the taste.
Sorry you had some issues with the cookies. If you don’t like salt, yes, leave out the sprinkling of sea salt. We like the sweet and salty combo in this cookie. I am not sure why they didn’t flatten. Mine weren’t super thin, but they did flatten!
\
Same thing happened with me, Nancy! They were super tall and therefore doughy in the middle but burnt on the bottom 🙁
I have been eyeing those preztel M&M’s and wondering how they were. Now I have to pick up a bag so I can make these. They look super yummy Maria! My girls would love these!
I hope the kitchen remodel is coming along.
OMG!! I just bought these to make the same cookies! I Love ur sea salt idea!
These are amazing! Have you seen the coconut M&M’s? I am sure you could create something amazing with them!
I haven’t tried the coconut ones, but now I will hunt them down. Thanks!
I need to get my hands on these Pretzel M&Ms!! Great idea for cookies, I love the salty-sweet combination too.
Perfect cookie recipe. I am going to have to try it.
amazing! i made these a few weeks ago and they are perfect!
This looks delicious! Your photographs are beautiful as well!
I’ve recently launched my own blog, I’d love for you to check it out and let me know what you think! 🙂 http://www.prettygoodfood.com Thanks and Happy Cooking!
So fun! My kids love the pretzel m&m’s.. I am not actually a fan, although I love pretzels and m&ms. 😉 I’m odd.
I love this cookie idea!
as always, the pictures are gorgeous
I love this combination of sweet and salty. The recipe looks great!
This is my second time making these this week 🙂 They’re so yummy.
One of my favorite cookies too!
AWESOME!! love the salt idea too 🙂
Hi – I made these today and I’m disappointed because mine do not look anything like yours. The first tray got really brown around the outside before the middle was done cooking…so…I turned the oven temp down and that helped the middle get cooked but they still got really brown edges. They taste fine but I was hoping they’d look better and mine are also thinner looking than yours. Yours look amazing! I’ll have to try again sometime – any suggestions to get mine to look like yours?
Hmmm…sorry you had issues. I never have a problem. Maybe try putting them on a lower rack on a lower temperature?
I have made these a few times just as the recipe is written and they are a huge hit! The dough is wonderful! Thanks so much!
This is a great cookie base! I was looking for a way to use up some m&ms but really wanted a chocolate cookie so I swapped about 1/4 to 1/3 c flour for cocoa powder and used regular m&ms (they’re all I had) and chocolate chunks — these cookies baked up perfectly chewy and slightly fudgy on the inside, the perfect complement to the crunchy m&ms. They were easily eaten within a couple hours! They’re amazing. Next time, I plan on making them just as you did. Thanks for the recipe!
This is my favorite cookie recipe! The best you will find :]
Love these cookies!! Easy to make and they came out great!! Making them again soon!!!
I haven’t made them in awhile. Thanks for the reminder! I love them too!
Just made these tonight for Christmas. They’re amazing! Thanks!
I precisely had to thank you very much yet again. I do not know what I could possibly have accomplished without the actual creative concepts shown by you on such concern. It previously was an absolute traumatic difficulty for me personally, but seeing a new professional tactic you treated that took me to jump over joy. I am grateful for the service and even hope you know what a great job your are undertaking training most people with the aid of a web site. I am certain you have never met any of us.
This is the precise weblog for anybody who wants to seek out out about this topic. You notice a lot its nearly laborious to argue with you (not that I truly would need…HaHa). You positively put a new spin on a topic thats been written about for years. Nice stuff, simply great!
