Oreo White Chocolate Pudding Cookies
Updated March 26, 2019
Cookies are always on my brain. I think about new cookie creations during the day and dream about cookies at night. It is an obsession, an obsession I love. Cookies make me happy and I love sharing my cookie recipes with the world. I hope you are not tired of my cookie recipes because I just created another new cookie recipe that needs to be shared. 5 words-Oreo White Chocolate Pudding Cookies.
I came up with these Oreo White Chocolate Pudding Cookies when Josh brought home a bag of Oreos. He claimed they were on sale:) I told him to save some Oreos for me because I had a new cookie recipe to make.
If you read our blog on a regular basis, you know I love adding pudding mix to cookies. Hopefully, you have tried my Vanilla Pudding Chocolate Chip Cookies, Banana Pudding Cookies, Chocolate Pudding Cookies and Butterscotch Pudding Triple Chip Cookies. See, I told you I have a cookie obsession and that is just a small glimpse at my obsession:) Adding pudding to the cookie dough is magic. It creates the softest cookie of all time. The cookies stay soft for days and days.
I used white chocolate pudding this time around. I added in chopped up Oreos and white chocolate chips to bring out the white chocolate flavor. I had high hopes for these cookies and they did not disappoint. I know I have a lot of favorite cookies, but these should be added to the “Cookie Hall of Fame” for sure. We took some cookies to our neighbors and they said these are the best cookies they have ever tasted.
So maybe I am cookie crazy, but I am ok with that. Thanks to my cookie crazy mind, you now have an amazing Oreo White Chocolate Pudding Cookie recipe. Make a batch for your holiday cookie platter. I guarantee they will be gone in no time! And you can make these cookies a few days in advance. The white chocolate pudding keeps the cookies super soft for days! Just store them in an air tight container on the counter.
Wait, there’s more! Today I am teamed up with the brilliant Shelly from Cookies and Cups. She also made a white chocolate pudding recipe. Make sure you check out her Gingerbread Cupcakes with White Chocolate Pudding Frosting. They look sooooo good and they are perfect for the holiday season! Yay for white chocolate pudding day:)

These cookies look so yummy!
I still haven’t tried pudding cookies, but these look so amazing!
My house is obsessed with your cookies. It has become a problem….but a wonderful one at that! Will be putting these on the list 🙂
pudding cookies are the BEST! i love that you used oreos, too.
I want – no need! – one of these to go with my coffee this morning!
Wow….these look and sound amazing!! I’m all for double cookies!
Oh yum – My husband would LOVE these and also frequently comes home with snacks that were apparently “on sale” at our grocery store!
I am nowhere near sick of cookie recipes, I am actually just eating a cookie right now! This looks too good
Yummy! Where did you get that cute string you always tie your cookies with? I want some!
Bake It Pretty! They have the cutest stuff!
I love the white chocolate pudding in these!!
About how many Oreos are needed for the 2 cups chopped? Thanks!
Pudding cookies stay super soft for days on end! If you can make them last that long, that is. This is something my younguns would fight over. 🙂
I think this might be my favorite of your oreo concoctions yet!
I love how you chose white chocolate pudding and chips for these cookies! They sound SO good!
Pudding in cookies is just magical – great version here!
Hey, I think we’re ALL cookie crazy over the holidays. . so ain’t no thang! 😛 LOVE these! These are fabulous!
Well done, Maria! I love this!
Oh man! I love these cookies! All I seem to want at the moment is a plate of cookies and a glass of cold cold milk. Love the holidays!
Just wanted to say that I made several of your recipes this year as part of my Christmas cookie tins…Dark Chocolate Orange Shortbread, Blueberry Vanilla, Cranberry Oatmeal Pistachio, and Pretzel M&M, and they received RAVE reviews. I purchased your e-cookbook package and just loved all of the recipes I have tried so far. Your recipes are hands-down the most predictably consistently GOOD cookie recipes I’ve ever tried. I never worry about whether or not they’ll turn out, because they always do! Thanks for your creativity and willingness to share!
Thank you so much Jana! I am so glad you are enjoying our recipes. Happy Holidays!
Oh, wow! These look absolutely incredible! Thanks for sharing…I do believe they’ll be made and soon!
Oh, yes, these look awesome. Pour the milk!
wow! that looks really delicious!
I am blown away at how gorgeous these cookies are!! Must make these ASAP 🙂
Pudding mix! The secret to so many delicious things! I hope you’ll contribute this recipe to the Shine Supper Club this month–we’re having a holiday recipe extravaganza!
Just made a batch… I think I did something wrong. The dough was really crumbly and hard to form. I couldn’t find normal pudding so I bought sugar free white chocolate pudding. Also what size box of pudding should I use, the 4 serving small box or the larger box. I really want to get these right. Thanks for your help!
I’ve never used the sugar free pudding. I am guessing it is very different. I use the 3.4 oz box (the small box) of instant white chocolate pudding.
About how many Oreo’s did you use to get two cups? I’m so bad at that. Also to answer Amanda’s question. I always make my cookies with pudding and I have accidentally got the sugar free pudding. It doesn’t make much difference at all. I am guessing she used too much flour.
I love to visit your blog to see what kind of cookie you will come up with next!
these looks & sound amazing!
Hi,
Do we have to prepare the pudding mix according to the package first before adding it in?
Thanks 🙂
No, don’t prepare the pudding. Just add the pudding mix into the dough. Enjoy!
You had me at “Oreo”…then I saw “whie chocolate” and was done for.
These look amazing! Definitely going to try and make them. Just a quick question. Would vanilla instant pudding work? i live in Aus, and we only have vanilla and chocolate instant pudding in 100g (3.52 oz) packets. I’m definitely still keen to try, they just sound too good not to!
If you can’t find white chocolate pudding, vanilla will work.
Just gave the recipe a second try and it was perfect! What an amazing cookie! Thank you! A must try!
I couldn’t find white chocolate pudding in Amy of my grocery stores either. I could only find the sugar free variety here, but after reading the comments from the other poster who used the sf pudding, I’m having 2nd thoughts about using it. I have French vanilla & regular vanilla. Do you think there would be a huge difference in the taste? I always thought white chocolate had a vanilla taste anyway.
Love this take on cookies and cream
Just made these and my dough was also very crumbly! I had to mix it with my hands to get it to work. They turned out fine…my brothers liked them, but it was def. hard to work with! Unfortunately I didn’t get to try them b/c I have to eat gluten free.
I just made these too, and my dough was also hard to work with. It was doable though, just has a lot of mix-ins I felt? While my cookies ended up being thicker than yours (they didn’t flatten out at all), they taste great!
Yes, I’m very sad that the wilds of Pennsylvania don’t have white chocolate instant pudding. Will try with French Vanilla. Love your triple-chip butterscotch pudding cookies, so am hoping these are as good!
This looks soo good. I’ m gong to make it today for my goody gift box. Thank you. I love All your blogs and recipes, keep up the great work!
These turned out really well for me! I didn’t even realize that I had purchased sugar-free pudding, but it didn’t spoil the recipe. In my oven, they’re only taking about 9 minutes, so maybe keep an eye on your cookies toward the end! I’m going to make these again, thanks for the recipe!
I just made these cookies with three packs of the sugar free pudding (3 oz total of pudding mix). The dough was a bit crumbly and they did not spread in the oven, but the taste was great. I just flattened the second batch before baking. Yummy!
Thank you for this! I made these for a cookie party today and they won best tasting cookie!
Looking forward to receiving your blog.
I just made these tonight for one of my coworkers (couldn’t figure out if she and her kids had nut allergies or not so I decided to play it safe with oreos) and they were soooo sweet! A little too sweet for my taste buds but hopefully they will enjoy. They sure do come out beautifully though, and I didn’t have problems with crumbly dough. Thanks for the recipe!
Hi
I wont find white chocolate instant pudding mix where I live
Can I just omit it ? should I replace it with anything ?
Txs in advance

Hi! I made these this past weekend. I couldn’t find regular white chocolate pudding so I bought the cookies and cream Oreo instant pudding. My dough was very crumbly, but since I have not used pudding mix before I just went with it. I like to undercooked my cookies so they are soft but these became very hard soon after cooling. I felt like it needed some other type of wet ingredient to hold it together better. Ah well. I tried. Will be trying a different pudding cookie recipe of yours soon as I really want to give them another shot.
Just made these with holiday Oreos and vanilla pudding (what I had on hand) came out tasty and super festive with the red cream…..going to give them as teacher gifts….thanks for the great recipe
you are the cookie queen!
Made these last night! My first time making a pudding cookie and they turned out great — have gotten only positive reviews so far! However, mine didn’t spread as nicely as yours did. Either way, they’re delicious. Thanks for sharing!
I’m not a baker but wanted to try these cookies. My question is, do you make the pudding mix before or do you put it in dry? I know I probably sound as if I have a screw loose but honestly don’t know the proper way of doing this. Thank you so much for your response.
Just add the dry mix. You don’t need to make the pudding. Happy baking!
I made these last night and they are delicious! My only suggestions would be definitely take them out right at 10 mins.. they will seem very soft but they will firm up! I left my first batch in too long because I thought they weren’t quite done and they ended up a little hard. Also, my dough was crumbly/tough to stir.. and it does seem like there are a lot of oreos/chips, but if you really stir it up they will still come out soft and yummy!
I used sugar free/fat free instant pudding because that’s all I could find in the white chocolate flavor. They still turned out really good! They just didn’t get flat like yours did.
Hey just wanted to say i tried these cookies only with Reese’s peanut butter chips instead of white chocolate. Awesome!! Thanks for the great recipe!
How did you get yours to be perfect circles? Mine are a little rustic looking 🙂
I just rolled them into balls. Sorry yours weren’t as pretty. I am sure they still tasted great:)
Thanks for the recipe! these turned out fantastic! Getting ready to deliver cookies to the neighbors. I have a feeling they might want this recipe…
I made these today to take to Christmas dinner. They are really yummy! I have never heard of white choc pudding mix and couldn’t find it so I used vanilla. And I would use less white choc chips next time. I was left with a bowl of chips after all of the dough was used. But they are yummy and I’ll make them again. Even my husband who usually doesn’t care much for cookies said he really liked them. Thanks!
I made these today too. White Chocolate anything is my absolute favorite. These cookies are awesome, very pleased with how they turned out! Thank you!
Thanks for responding to my question so quickly! Next time I’ll try rolling them into balls! They did taste great…even better the second day …softer I think! We delivered these to the neighbors too. Thanks for making our Christmas a little more Christmasy. I enjoy reading your blog…we travel from the east coast to visit family in Illinois too…with a 3 year old and an 11 month old. I had to laugh at the picture of the inside of your car during your road trip. We can relate! 🙂
These cookies were amazing! Everyone who tried them loved them. Stayed soft for days and were deliciously different! Thanks for such great new ideas!
Made a half-batch of these tonight for my cookie-addict husband. Considering that he has just inhaled a plate of them, I think they’re a hit! I couldn’t find the white chocolate pudding, so I used cheesecake flavor instead (go figure, we have cheesecake pudding but not white chocolate), and I used a mix of white chocolate and dark chocolate chips. Thank you for the fantastic recipe!
I used cookies and creme pudding and chocolate chips. They taste great but my pudding cookies never look as good as yours. I made the three chip pudding cookies and they also came out not flattened like yours as well.
These are the only cookies I make anymore! They’re incredible! Making them today with Newman-O’s instead of Oreos for a (tad) healthier cookie.
I just made these!!! And they are amazing! I didn’t have any white chocolate chips but they are still soooo dang good! Thank you for an amazing recipe!
I’M GOING TO DIE…of goodness!!! Looks amazing!!!!!!!!!
Oh my lanta! I missed these the first time around, Maria! Pinned! And thank you. Yum yum.
I made these cookies over the weekend and hands down they are one of the best cookies ever! I love baking but admittedly I’m not very good at it. This recipe was super easy to follow and the cookies came out perfectly. I was so proud of myself that I took them to my in-laws. This is going in my regular rotation of cookies to bake. Thanks!
Would these work to layer in jars for gift giving??? I think they would be so pretty if they would turn out the same cookie.
i’ve been to a few stores in LA and no one has ‘white’ chocolate instant pudding. they have vanilla or chocolate. wondering a) where you got it from and b) if there is a substitute. thanks!
I’ve seen it at a few grocery stores in Utah. If you can’t find it you can use vanilla pudding.
Hello! I made 2 batches of these today. I could not find white chocolate pudding so I used cookies and cream pudding instead. And my cookies did not flatten as much as yours did…but they were soft and delicious! And a hit at home. Bursting with cookies and cream flavor. Thank you for the recipe!
What did I do wrong? Mine were very dry texture similar to a biscuit and rose up high like one too?
Hmmm…ours have never been dry and we make them a lot. Was your butter soft? Did you add too much flour?
I made these today. They are quite good. I am not personally a fan of chocolate chip cookies, but thumbs up for this recipe. My husband, grandson, son and brother all gave the seal of approval. Thank you for your wonderful recipes.
I could not wait to make these when I stumbled upon your recipe a few months ago…they are amazing!! By far one of my favorite cookies, ever. Thank you for the recipe!
These cookies are beyond phenomenal!
I just made them for a coworker, and decided to sample a few in the process. OMG, they are sugary chocolatey goodness, and I adore them.
My only thought is that, with the oreo cookies, the brown sugar, white sugar, and then 1.5 cups of white chocolate chips, the cookies can be a little too sweet. If I may make a humble recommendation, I’d reduce, in the future, the 1.5cups of white chocolate chips to about 1 cup of white chocolate chips.
Otherwise, I give these cookies a 5+ ++++.
I’m definitely adding these to my recipe book. They’re keepers.
I’ve made these so many times. They were delicious and a great bribe for my teachers before finals 😀
I work in a medical office and I’ve made these cookies for the patients for the last two years. They are a hit! They are so easy to make. Thank you!
So glad everyone enjoys the cookies!
I’ve made these every year since 2012 and I get requests every year now. Merry Christmas!
I have been wanting to try a pudding cookie for awhile but always get so frustrated with bloggers using pudding flavors that are hard to find. Where did you find white chocolate pudding? It was not at either target or the walmart grocery I went to.
Hi Katie, I had trouble finding the pudding at first because I kept looking at Jello brand. No one had it, even though I scoured the Internet for weeks. I found Ghirardelli white chocolate pudding in my local supermarket. Super Happy, and because I now have my pudding mix, here we go. I’m making these cookies on Sunday! Good luck to you,. I know you will find them.
If you can’t find white chocolate, you can always use vanilla. It works well too!
Out of curiosity, why does this recipe call for 2 1/2 cups of flour vs 2 1/4 like your other pudding recipes? My dough seems super dry compared to the other recipes and I wasn’t sure if that was normal or not??
These are my husband’s absolute favorite cookies. He’s a huge fan of Oreos, so when I found this recipe a few years ago, I was thrilled. I make them a few times a year, and most definitely at Christmas time. I’ve found they are good with or without the white chocolate chips. But the white chocolate pudding mix is a must! I was recently able to find Hershey’s brand of the mix in my grocery and it’s fantastic.
I have made these tons of times they’re amazing. My question for you is my friend wants me to make them for her daughters graduation party… Have you ever frozen these?
Yes! They freeze well.
