These cookies involve LOTS of sprinkles! We use rainbow sprinkles but feel free to use your favorite colors. Change the color of sprinkles for every holiday! If you want to make them for Christmas, use green and red sprinkles. If you want to make them for Easter, use pastel sprinkles. If you want to make them for the 4th of July, use red, white, and blue sprinkles. You get the idea. These cookies are perfect for any celebration! Kids LOVE them for birthday parties! Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375ºF. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a Silpat baking mat and set aside.
- Using a mixer, cream the butter and sugar together for about 2 minutes, until light and fluffy. Add the vanilla extract, almond extract, and egg. Beat until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift in the flour, cornstarch, soda, and salt. Slowly add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, and continue on low speed until it’s all added and combined. Gently mix in the sprinkles, don’t over mix or the sprinkles will change the dough's color.
- Using a cookie scoop, scoop dough onto cookie sheets, about 1 ½ inches apart, about 8 cookies per baking sheet. Bake for about 10-14 minutes. or until the cookies are light golden brown around the edges. You don’t want them to totally turn golden or they’ll be crisp cookies.
- Remove cookies from oven and let sit on baking sheet for 2 minutes. Transfer to a cooling rack and cool completely.

Thank you SO much for sharing this. I just baked them, and I have to say that everything about this cookie recipe is perfect. They bake perfectly round, they are slightly chewy on the inside, crispy on the edges. The balance of almond extract is perfect, and they look so festive! I’ll set a few aside to fill as ice cream sandwiches, with a homemade ice cream flavor that I just made. I could eat a whole plate of these, myself.
I am so glad you enjoyed the cookies!
It doesn’t make very many. I think 12. So if you are making them for a party you better rethink.

My Funfetti-fan husband’s new favorite cookie…thanks for the great recipe!!
They were a big succes! And so unbelievably easy to make! Even if you don’t have much time you can still whip up some great cookies. So I’m making these for father’s day this weekend. The same cookies twice in 2 weeks? These are quickly rising to the top of my favorites list 😀
They are a favorite cookie around here too:) Glad you liked them!
I love how these cookies taste but mine didn’t spread out to chewy flat cookies…mind ended up the same way I put them in, round balls that I had to flatten with a spatula. What am I doing wrong? I made it twice and both times didn’t spread 🙁
OMG these cookies look sooooo good!! i want to make them now!!!

Hi! How many cookies does this yield?
Thank you!
I just tested this recipe to see if it would be “worthy” of making for my college-age son and his roommates. I want to bring some treats when we go visit him next weekend. Needless to say, I WILL be making these again on later this week to bring to the boys. The almond flavor is SO yummy! And they’re just FUN! 🙂
Yay! I hope they like them too!
These were super easy to make, tasty, perfect for a celebration!
Hi! Wondering if I need to change anything or if the sprinkles will be affected if I make dough before hand and freeze prior to thawing and baking them?
Thank you!
No matter where I take your Funfetti cookies, I am asked for the recipe! These are not only really cute cookies, but they are out of this world. Thank you, Maria.
Thanks!
