Brown Butter Snickerdoodles
Updated January 04, 2020
Cookies, cookies, cookies. They are everywhere. We have cookie dough in our fridge, cookies on the counter, cookies in the oven, and cookies in our freezer. I also have more than my fair share of cookies in my belly:) Tis the season for cookies! Oh, how I love this time of year.
I love making my favorite holiday cookies, but I also enjoy trying new cookie recipes every year. I recently made Monique’s Brown Butter Snickerdoodles and fell in love. They take the traditional snickerdoodle to a whole new level!
If you haven’t experienced browned butter, you are missing out. It brings out the very best in butter. And the brown butter really shines through in these snickerdoodles. It adds a slight nutty and caramel flavor that is out of this world. The cookies are crisp around the edges and soft in the center. I couldn’t wait for them to cool and I am glad I didn’t because they are sooooo good right out of the oven. They melt in your mouth!
For step-by-step photos and the Brown Butter Snickerdoodle recipe, head on over to Tasty Kitchen. You need to make these cookies. They are a new favorite at our house and I think you will enjoy them too!

Those snickerdoodles must be divine! The brown sugar adds an extra layer of taste to that cookie…

Rosa

Oh.My.Goodness. I just made these for the first time, and they are heavenly!! For years I have been searching for the perfect snickerdoodle recipe, and I have finally found it. The texture is perfect, and the flavor is out of this world! Thank you for sharing your yummy recipes. All of my favorite cookie recipes come from you. 🙂 You are definitely the Cookie Master!
LOVE these cookies! Thank you for the recipe! These are a new favorite!!
Made over the weekend, I am a personal trainer so I normally don’t indulge. However I ate about 10-12 of these as they are so good:)
Should it be 1/2 or 1 cup of butter? I am getting ready to make these cookies but the photo and recipe on tasty kitchen are slightly confusing when it comes to butter. In the photo the butter looks like two half sticks equaling 1/2 cup of butter. The recipe calls for two sticks which is a cup. I tend to assume that “stick” refers to a traditional size but dont want to put twice as much butter in recipe as it needs.
Thanks!
You need one cup!
Where do I get the recipe for the snicker doodles with the caramel inside
