It was an avocado-kind of year.

Seems like if you could find a way to combine red velvet with avocado… then you got a winning dish….LOL!!!! Just noticing the COMMON INGREDIENTS that made the top 10 list…

And… my other all-time favorites from your blog:
– Black Bean and Sweet Potato Soup (March 2010)
– Peaches n’ Cream Muffins (August 2010)

– Zucchini Coconut Bread (August 2012)
I love seeing everyone’s roundups! Hope your new year is wonderful!
These look like fabulous recipes. My tip for creating a great menu is to use strong flavors. Party guests are only getting small bites of appetizers, so dazzle them with unique and interesting flavors, but keep the samples small so you do not overpower your guests. Experiment with different cheeses, spices and cooking techniques. Pinterest is full of ideas for how to find powerful flavor combinations and how to create a menu for a holiday party. “Healthy Purim Recipes,” for example, provides recipes for Purim celebrations.
They all look wonderful…..but edamame avocado sandwich really should be on the list. EVERYONE needs to try it if they have not!! Delicious
I’ve made a lot of things on this list. Loved the red velvet crinkle cookies and the green smoothie!

How about kid friendly lunch ideas? Breakfast and dinner are fairly easy, but I’m always stumped on what to make for lunch. I think it’s the hardest meal of the day. Maybe it’s just me.
I made just about every one of your top ten recipes – except the smoothie and the stove top mac and cheese. Those red velvet cheesecake cookies were absolutely phenomenal and anything with avocado is good in my opinion. And I think you cover all the bases really well, from breakfast to dinner to sweets. Love your site and your recipes!
looks like your colors are red & green for sure! 😉
