Take advantage of summer’s fine produce and make this salad ASAP. It is almost too pretty to eat, but I think you will manage just fine:)

Salad Ingredients

I love that you only need five ingredients to make this salad. It is so simple, but sometimes simple is best, especially when summer produce is at it’s peak. The fresh ingredients do all of the work!

For the salad, you will need:

  • Tomatoes– use the prettiest tomatoes you can find. I love heirloom tomatoes for this salad. I use large, slicing tomatoes and cherry or grape tomatoes.
  • Peaches– make sure they are ripe and juicy. Nectarines will also work.
  • Burrata cheese Burrata is a fresh Italian cheese that comes in a soft ball. When you cut into it, cream oozes out! It is rich, creamy, and so divine! Burrata means “buttered” in Italian, so you know it’s good. Look for burrata with the specialty cheeses at the grocery store. It is usually by the fresh mozzarella. If you can’t find burrata, you can use fresh mozzarella.
  • Olive oil– for drizzling
  • Balsamic glaze– I like to drizzle a little balsamic glaze over the top of the salad. You can buy balsamic glaze in a bottle at most grocery stores. Balsamic vinaigrette or basil vinaigrette would also be good with this salad.
  • Basil– for garnish!
  • Bread grilled bread or crusty bread for serving on the side. Optional, but SO good!

How to Make Burrata Salad

  • Arrange the sliced tomatoes, peaches, and grape tomatoes on a large platter.
  • Break apart the ball of burrata cheese and arrange it on top of the salad. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Drizzle with a little olive and balsamic glaze.
  • Garnish with fresh basil. Serve with grilled bread or crusty bread, if desired.

What to Serve with Burrata Salad

We love serving this salad during the summer months when produce is at it’s peak. Here are a few dishes that pair well with this gorgeous salad.

How to Store

This salad is best the day it is made. I don’t recommend storing leftovers in the fridge. But we never have leftovers because it is so delicious. It always gets polished off!
