  • The boys are really into hockey right now so we took them to a Utah Hockey Club game. It was a lot of fun.
  • The boys are still on break so we are skiing almost every day. On New Year’s Eve, Alta had a firework show and it was pretty cool.
  • A nice sweater and jeans.
  • I am almost finished with the sauna. I just have a few finishing touches. I will share a photo when it’s done.

  1. Happy New Year! Thanks for all the delicious recipes. I discovered you all about 8 years ago and your website has been my go to since. This holiday season we made the Peppermint Bark Chocolate Chip Cookies, Split Pea soup and cornbread for our new years dinner, lemon ricotta pasta, rollo pretzels, stuffed peppers, puppy chow and chicken enchiladas just to name a few! I love that your recipes are simple with easy to find ingredients and not too spicy for my boys ages 8 and 2. Thanks again!

  4. Happy New Year! Fellow boy mom and been reading your blog for years! Would love to know what lb weighted vest you are using. My husband gifted me one for Christmas, but we have been reading conflicting advice online on how much it should weigh. Mine is right about 10% of my body weight, yet didn’t find it as challenging on my walk as I was expecting? Thanks so much!!

    1. I have a 12 lb vest and I wear it when I do incline walks. I do 12 incline at 3.0 speed for 30 minutes. I also wear it on the stair climber. If I was wearing it for easy/flat walks I could go heavier, but it’s great for incline, hills, and stair climber.
