  • We enjoyed the long weekend. Maxwell scored his first touchdown on Saturday. It was exciting! We also went fishing and hung out with friends.
  • The NFL is back in action tonight. Who are you cheering for this season?
  • I just started the show Bad Monkey on Apple TV.
  • Our neighbors have Bernese mountain dog puppies right now and the boys have been visiting them regularly. They really want one and I do too, but unfortunately, I am allergic.

    1. We have been friends for over 4 years and each time I receive your posts, I can’t wait to delve in.
      The information never gets old.
You present with amazing recipies, pictures and fun information.
I am a foodie and love new recipies to share with family and friends. You make this love of mine so very easy.
      Don’t ever stop

  1. I’ve been making your stuffed pepper soup for a while now and it is the best!! My son requests it all the time and he’s a fussy eater! Thanks for posting This and That every Thurs….I look forward to it every week!! Your recipes are consistently on our table so thank you!!!

  2. Okay, Josh…being allergic is no excuse for denying your boys the truly awesomwe experience of falling on love with anf raising a dog. I am a firm believed in incorporating pets into the lives of children. They learn so much from loving and taking on the responsibility of caring for a pet.
Bernese Mountian dogs are great but they are prone to short lives do to a heritiary genetic issue.
However…there are plenty of dogs that are hypoallergenic .Most , if not all , Doodles are great for people with allergies. My neighbors are two little girls who are both allergic but begged for a puppy endlessly. They now are the owners of Jack…a mini “double doodle”. He is mom was a goldendoodle and his dad was a berniedoodle. He weighs about 40 pounds and has to be one of the cutest dogs I have even met. The girls have no allery issues around him and needless to day…love him dearly.
Okay…end of lecture. Please tell your boys I am manifesting positive puppy acquisition thoughts for them!!

  3. There are hyroalergenis dog breeds…doodle mixes but others as well.
My neighbors have a double doodle…berniedoodle/golden doodle mix. The ir 2 children have allergies but they are not allergic to this pup. And he is adorable…40 pounds of friendly curly love,
Maybe shots as well as a hyroallergenic breed would do the trick.

  4. Yes, I would go solo on a trip. I did so to San Diego for a week when my son was graduating as a Marine. I had 2.5 days of fun then all the scheduled stuff for him on base the last part of my trip. I really enjoyed doing whatever I wanted to. It was freeing. I took a whale watching tour, saw a pod of humpbacks, ate at places I wanted and shopped and visited the Whaley house. I took Lyft to wherever I wanted to go and my hotel shuttled to the airport and base. Since it was the end of October, I took a ghost tour through an old cemetery in old town. It was fun.
I’m planning a trip to Niagara Falls next. It takes planning is all, and where I want to see both sides, I need a passport and what little things do I need to cross the boarder etc.

  5. The Perfect Couple is excellent – certainly binge worthy. Plus it is set on Nantucket – the scenery alone is worth the watch!
