Pear Pomegranate Salad-this fresh green salad with pears, pomegranate, pistachios, red onion, and blue cheese is the perfect salad for your holiday meal.
What are you making for Christmas dinner this year? I am still trying to decide. Help!
I am leaning towards lasagna roll ups or baked gnocchi with green beans and this Pear Pomegranate Salad. I am all about keeping it simple this year. Of course, we will start our meal with an epic cheese board and there will be dessert.
I love this salad because it is super simple and goes with any meal. You can serve this salad along side anything. If you are having ham, prime rib, lasagna, turkey, or tamales, you can make this salad for Christmas. It compliments any meal!
This salad has:
- mixed greens
- pear slices
- pomegranate seeds
- pistachios
- red onion
- blue cheese
All of the flavors come together to create a beautiful and delicious salad. The dressing whisks together in no time and is the perfect finishing touch to this festive salad. The salad is easy to make and pretty to serve. Your friends and family will love it!
If you aren’t a blue cheese fan, you can use crumbled goat cheese or feta cheese. Both are great in this salad too! And if you don’t like pistachios, use almonds or candied pecans.

GORGEOUS salad, and festive too!
so festive and gorgeous!
My Mom’s making chateaubriand and I’m in charge of all the sides. And now I think I know what salad I’m going to bring! Looks so festive and has all my favorite ingredients!
Do we think canned pears would work in this recipe?
This salad looks amazing!
gorgeous set of ingredients here! I’ve made pear and gorgonzola, or bits of these other ingredients separately, but never together like in this recipe, thank you for the recipe, I need some healthy stuff at this time of year to at least match all of the less than healthy holiday treats!
Can’t wait to make this!!
this is beautiful and so perfect for the holidays!
Yum! This is such a nutrient-dense an very appetizing salad recipe, Maria and Josh. I love pomegranate in my salads and this is definitely a dish I will start the day with!

Yay! enjoy!
This was delicious and oh-so-pretty. I served it for company (along with pork loin, rolls and Brussels sprouts). Thanks!
Made this for dinner the other day and opted for red pear and feta cheese. The dressing is delicious and all of the flavors come together nicely. Thanks for the recipe!
I prepared this salad a couple of weeks ago. My family loved it. We prepared it exactly as the recipe here and the different flavors and textures make it really tasty and interesting. Just got a couple of pomegranates and weโll make again next week.
Amazing!! ย Donโt miss this one! ย We added small portion of grilled chicken as well! ย New favorite!
This salad is awesome. Iโve made it occasionally for a few years now and I always come back to the recipe for the delicious dressing and reminder of exactly what goes in it. I add some spiced and sautรฉed chicken to it to make a whole meal. Definitely recommend.
So glad you love it!
You are a salad genius, Maria! I would give it a ten if I could! Everything about it was perfect. My grandson, who isnโt fond of greens, absolutely loved it.
I am so glad the salad was a hit!
