Now, we are sharing our personal favorite recipes from the year. The boys, Josh, and I all picked 5 recipes that we loved this year. It was fun to look back and pick out our very favorites!

Boys

S’mores Clusters– Graham cracker pieces and mini marshmallows are covered in chocolate and sprinkled with flaky sea salt to create an easy no-bake s’mores treat. The boys love helping me make these…and they love eating them even more!

White Chicken Enchiladas– These enchiladas are made with flour tortillas, shredded chicken, green chiles, cheese, and a creamy white sauce! A regular dinner at our house!

Chocolate Chip Sugar Cookies– The cookies are easy to make, made with basic ingredients, and there’s no chill time! My boys love the combo of a sugar cookie and chocolate chip cookie in ONE! The best of both worlds.

Maxwell also wanted to tell you that the Pretzel Toffee Chocolate Chip Cookies are a favorite too. They had a hard time narrowing down their favorite cookie from the year:)

Steak Sandwich– Juicy steak, peppers, onions, melty provolone cheese, chimichurri, and spicy arugula piled high on toasted bread. The boys LOVE this sandwich!

Crispy Chicken Tacos– My boys request these tacos almost every single week. They are their very favorite. We like to serve them with jalapeño ranchpico de gallo, pickled red onions, and guacamole. The perfect meal for busy weeknights! You will love how crunchy the are!

Josh

Crispy Chicken Croissant Sandwich– This one made the Top 10 list too! Josh says it is the BEST sandwich…our boys love it too! It’s packed with flavor!

Italian Pasta Salad– The ULTIMATE pasta salad recipe. It’s always a favorite at potlucks, parties, and cookouts. We made it all summer long! It’s great for meal prep too!

Tikka Masala Meatballs– Josh loves chicken tikka masala and meatballs so he combined his two favorites in one dish! The flavorful meatballs are easy to make, perfect for meal prep, and better than takeout! Serve with rice and naan.

Chicken Pot Pie with Biscuits– Our classic Chicken Pot Pie recipe is the VERY best, but this Chicken Pot Pie with Biscuits is a close second. So cozy and comforting!

Chocolate Dipped Coconut Cookies– These are Josh’s new favorite cookies! He LOVES them! I have to agree, they are VERY good!

Butternut Squash Lasagna– This is my kind of comfort food! The lasagna is made with layers of lasagna noodles, butternut squash, a creamy spinach ricotta mixture, a rich bechamel sauce, and lots of melty cheese! SO good!

Grilled Vegetable Farro Salad– Farro salad with grilled vegetables, tomatoes, spinach, artichokes, feta cheese, fresh herbs, and a simple lemon shallot dressing. I love everything about this hearty salad!

Chickpea Soup– I LOVE this soup and make it all of the time. Serve with crusty bread for a cozy and comforting meal.

Cheesy Rice and Bean Skillet– I picked this recipe because it is delicious, easy and my entire family loves it. It is one of our favorite GO TO weeknight meals.

Puppy Chow Cookies– I love puppy chow and decided it was time to make a Puppy Chow Cookie. I am SO glad I did because they are DELICIOUS and have been extremely popular! You HAVE to try them!

  1. I tried these puppy chow cookies just out of curiosity, not even being a huge puppy chow fan. I didn’t even make my own puppy chow, just hushed the chex store bought kind.
    Might I say- holy. Freaking. Crap.
    What a delicious cookie! The peanut butter is subtle, the puppy chow adds a fun and welcoming crunch that I never knew I needed from a cookie. 100/10 will recommend and make again!

    1. I am so glad you loved the cookies. You should try them with homemade puppy chow next time, it’s the BEST and so easy!! I always keep it in the freezer so it’s ready to go!
