Pin ItI love a good salty snack. Some of my favorites include chips and salsa, chips and guacamole, soft pretzels, and pita chips with hummus.
Store bought pita chips are fine, but homemade pita chips are the BEST! If you haven’t made them at home, you are missing out. You only need three ingredients and they are super simple to make.
These pita chips are baked and not fried. You can make a big tray of chips at once! The chips are thick, crunchy, and salty. Serve with hummus, spinach artichoke dip, whipped feta, whipped cottage cheese, or your favorite dips! They are also great with salads or plain!

How to Make Pita Chips
- Cut the pita rounds into triangles with a sharp knife. Place the pita triangles on a large baking sheet that has been lined with a Silpat baking mat or parchment paper.

I just bought a new bag of pita chips yesterday… O_O … and they are almost gone. This is going to be my new portion control trick!

Love making homemade pita chips!
This sounds easy AND yummy. I don’t have much self control either. I’d have to portion them out or I’d eat them all AND all the guacamole. Q, my husband, has self control too. What would THAT be like??????
Yep, I also have a serious pita addiction…homemade chips are the best!
Definitely making these for an afternoon snack!

Can they be maid without any oil or salt? I buy naked pita chips?
They need a little oil to crisp up but you don’t have to salt them.
Brush first. Cut second. SO much easier and less labor intensive! Still all the yum ๐
What a great idea!
I just made this and Iโm never going back to store bought amazing!
i love making pita chips
i split the pita then cut into triangles – sprinkle with lemon pepper and a sprinkle of fennel seeds and bake
hope you try this variation one day – you will love it and it quickly becomes your new addiction
thanks for sharing your ideas
oops – sorry – forgot to mention – i lightly oil first and do the sprinkling before cutting
i oil and sprinkle on the rough side since i have split the pita – i get twice as many that way and i love them thin and they go so much more crispy as well
hope that makes sense now
thanks
