Because it is the day of love, I am making my Hazelnut Granola with Dried Cherries and Dark Chocolate. It is the perfect granola for Valentine’s Day because there is chocolate involved and chocolate is a MUST today.
I adore hazelnuts. They are perfect in my eyes. I love the flavor and crunch they add to this granola.
The granola also has oats and shredded coconut. It is sweetened with pure maple syrup and a touch of honey.
When the granola is done baking, I stir in dried cherries and dark chocolate chunks. They add color and sweetness to the hazelnut granola.

I would love a bowl of this right now and I would definitely take it to work for snacks!
Can you substitute coconut oil and maple syrup since its’s so expensive?
I made this for my son, age 35! He loves homemade granola. It was so good. I didn’t have any hazelnut flavoring so I just doubled the vanilla. He loved it . There isn’t any comparison between homemade and packaged granola. Thanks for the recipe!
I’ve found that granola is one of the few things my pregnant belly is doing okay with. So always happy for new recipes!
Im not a fan of coconut at all. What can I use to replace the coconut?
My husband and I really like this. He enjoys it plain as do I, but my favorite is using it along with fresh blueberries to mix in my plain greek yogurt.
You can’t go wrong with this granola. Glad you love it!
