Pin ItSt. Patrick’s Day is on Sunday so this week we are going GREEN! We have to celebrate because we are the PEAS:) Green is our color and I love everything green. We have some fun green recipes AND a fun green giveaway for you this week! Make sure you visit the blog tomorrow to enter the giveaway, you don’t want to miss this one!
We are starting green week with an easy Avocado Feta Dip. And when I say easy, I mean EASY! Like this dip can be made in 5 minutes. There is no cooking involved, you just throw all of the ingredients into a food processor or blender and magic happens!
Our Creamy Avocado Yogurt Dip is one of my all-time favorite dips. I love the stuff. I wanted to make that dip last week for an afternoon snack, but Caleb hogged all of our Greek yogurt. I was in the mood for dipping and had avocados to use up, so I looked in our fridge and saw feta cheese. Bingo! A new favorite dip was born!
This dip is thick, creamy, and flavorful. The feta cheese adds the perfect amount of saltiness and blends in with the avocado perfectly! They are a match made in heaven.
I served the Avocado Feta Dip with pita chips and cut up veggies. Josh, Caleb, and I spent the afternoon snacking away! This dip was a hit with the entire family.
If you are looking for an easy dip recipe for parties or every day snacking, make this Avocado Feta Dip! Oh, and the lime juice keeps the dip from turning brown, so you can make it in advance-which makes it perfect for entertaining. I put our leftover dip in the fridge and it was bright green the next day!
And speaking of green, don’t forget to get festive on St. Patrick’s Day by eating this tasty green Avocado Feta Dip! The leprechauns might try to snatch it from you, so be careful:)

This combination sounds STELLAR!!!
Love the feta-avocado combination. Can’t wait to try it!
Yum! I love this combination together! It’s so good!
Hey, I’ve got ripe avocados and used up the last of the yogurt on tartar sauce last night! But I have feta–so I can make this.
One problem–the pigs ate up all the cilantro.
Off to the store.
Thanks!
I can practically TASTE it just reading the recipe! This looks terrific ๐
I love simple 5 minutes dips! AND it’s healthy! (=
I have a ton of feta to use up right now and a whole lot if Downton Abbey to watch! Perfect!
This looks so so yummy!! Can’t wait to see all the other green fun you come up with!!
Ahahaha! I was wondering about what kind of festive dip someone could make for SPD… well, you’ve nailed it!
This sounds fantastic, Maria! The addition of feta would be a great layer of flavor with avocado.
Yum!!! This looks super festive and full of flavor. Feta and avocados go so well together
This looks wonderful! It sound perfect for a quick app for a party!
Hand me a bag of pita chips and let me go to town on this dip!!
I love it! Sounds like such a yummy combination!
You had me until I saw “cilantro.” Can’t stand the stuff; when I try to eat it, it’s like I am eating dish soap (you know, the stuff you keep at the sink when you want to hand wash a dish instead of putting it in the dishwasher). Any suggestions as to what to put in its place because I really want to give this a go.
Yum! I have everything for this dip and will be giving it a try! LOVE cilantro. =)
Oh I know I’m going to love this avocado feta combo!
So divine! I would think you wouldn’t need to add much salt here with the addition of feta. Cant wait to try it.
GIVE ME TO MEEEEEEE.
(sorry to scream)
Love this recipes, Maria. And the fact it only takes 5 minutes – perfect for last-minute entertaining!

genius I’d love this!
I’m so excited to make this – the only problem is that it’s always a nightmare to get ripe avocado here!
winning!! love it
Great idea. I love it!
I can just imagine the saltiness of the feta mixed with creamy avocado! I bet this dip is spectacular!
Bring on the green recipes!!! I would probably eat this whole bowl of dip all by myself!
Green is my favorite food color for sure and I love how vibrant this is!
Truly a dip to celebrate with!!! Looks great Maria ๐
I love anything with avocados, so this looks wonderful to me!
I love the addition of the feta, this is so perfect for St. Paddy’s Day!
I love feta and avocado! This dip looks fantastic Maria!
Another winner recipe, Maria! Some of my favorite flavors are in here. I love anything with cilantro!
Such a fascinating flavor combination… you are so creative!
I didnโt have all of the ingredients! I went with
1 avocado
4 ounces feta
1/4 onion
1 garlic clove
1/3 cup sour cream
DELISH!! Perfectly paired with Staceyโs garlic Parmesan pita chips
This sounds mighty interesting! I might have to try it!
Where did you get your tortilla chips? They much better than the regular kind you find at the grocery store!
They are Stacy’s Pita Chips!
This sounds delicious, Maria!
Love Feta love avocado, awesome recipe Maria! You always come up with the best recipes!
I love this combo of flavors! Totally my kind of dip!
I love the combination of avocado and feta in this dip.
i can only imagine how this tastes! yum!
I’m a sucker for anything with an avocado. Love.
Perfect after school snack.
I made this last night. I kind of have mixed feelings. It’s similar to guac that I make, plus feta. I think my mouth was a little confused about it. It was tasty, but just a little strange when you’re thinking it looks like guac but isn’t. Regardless, everyone else thought it was really tasty and their mouths weren’t confused. ๐
My husband is a sucker for avocados and for feta. I need to make this for him (and me!).
gosh do I love feta so much! This is such a great dip idea!! Can’t wait to try this!
This combination sounds ‘why.didn’t.I.think.of.that’ great!
Avocado and feta are the perfect compliment of partners – great dip!!
I made this the other day, with substitutions based on what I had in the fridge, and it’s YUMMY! Got me going on a whole Greek theme with chicken, and made enough to use it both at dinner and again in a 5 layer Greek dip.
Divine–thanks!
This dip was crazy delicious! I also added a 6 oz container of greek yogurt which made it even creamier (and made me feel like I could eat more). Who know avacado and feta fit so perfectly together? Thanks for the recipe! ๐
I made a similar avocado dip last summer that included a pear as a main ingredient. I really like this idea to make it a bit more savory with onion and feta. Looking forward to trying it out!
Wow…this is my new favorite dip! Made it as a side dish/game appetizer with chicken and tzatziki sauce and it was awesome. Just wish I could have found some pita chips.
Does it make a difference what onion I use?
How creative! I constantly create new dishes but rarely write them down. So thank you for putting this one together and writing it down to share with everyone. I will be making it soon! Sounds delicious!!
Needs some green chile!
This dip combines two of my favorite things! Avocado & Feta. Can’t wait to try it!
I made this dip for Super Bowl and WOW is all I can say. It was supposed to be an alternative for guacamole for my daughter and I, but my husband (who HATES avocado anything) fell in love with it. He took it to work the next day, and I haven’t seen it since *feeling a little annoyed* so I will have to make a second batch so my daughter and I can have some more.
GREAT, easy recipe and YUMMY!
Made this tonight, but omitted the onions. WOW, this was good. I did not add any salt or pepper, as I thought with the Feta cheese, it was salty enough. Some crushed red pepper might be a nice addition, but it is great as it is! Thank you for sharing!
So it’s guacamole?
I’m commenting on the this dip because I actually made it for our Easter gathering…it is ABSOLUTELY stellar!!!! Served it with pita chips and it is one of the BEST dip recipes I have ever come across!!! Would be great as a topping for any kind of taco, fish, salad , etc. Soooo good!!!
Is this dip spicy with the jalapeno?
This stuff was ADDICTING! I left out the cilantro because I’m not a big cilantro fan and it turned out amazing. If you are planning on making it for more than 1-2 people, I’d at least double the batch because it’s so good!
Impressive information you have here. Keep up the good work on sharing your ideas to others
I love all of your recipes I have tried. Haven’t ever been much of a feta person but this combo was really good! I made mine w/o the Cilantro and it was great!
Well, what do you know?… Going to a 4th of July get together and I was unsure about what to bring now I know. Thank you for your recipe.
Michele
Would this be ok with lemon juice instead of lime? Or should I just omit the juice altogether if I don’t have lime?
Lemon would be good too! I would use it to prevent the avocado from browning.
This is now my go-to replacement for guacamole – has been for the last year or two. Everyone loves it and I’m constantly asked for the recipe. This is so yummy. Thanks for sharing it.
I used tomato / basil feta and real bacon bits sprinkled on top and spooned into spinach leafs, rolled and eat. Oh, also added sour cream to make it blend better in my little chopper. I loved this recipe and it can be very versatile with choice of add-ins.
Glad you liked the dip!
is a dip same with guacamole? i see that dip is prepaired with avocado same like guacamole. It looks sweet though,i want to make one and i wil tell how it went.
Thank you. With St. Patrick’s Day coming up again I think I will try this out>
i love the idea and you always provide some unique recipes. Always look forward for more such recipes.
This is my favorite go-to party dip and I realized I never wrote a review! It really is simple and turns out delicious every time. I do substitute the jalapeno for pickled green chilies that adds a layer of subtle heat that takes it to another level.
If I could give this more than 5โญ๏ธ I would!!! Our favorite Mediterranean restaurant makes this dip and I was so excited to find this recipe!!! Bravo!!!!!
