caramel sauce

The BEST salted caramel sauce! It's easy to make and is great drizzled over ice cream, cake, cookies, cupcakes, cheesecake…and anything else you can think of!

Start by melting the sugar, whisking it as it starts to melt. Stop whisking once it has melted.

Continue cooking until the sugar reaches a deep amber color. Then, add the butter and stir.

Remove from heat. Pour in the heavy cream and whisk. Then, whisk in the sea salt.

Let the caramel sauce cool and pour it into a jar.
