  • We had a nice, laid back Thanksgiving. We did a nachos bar and it was awesome! Not sure if we will do it every year, but it was nice to mix things up.
  • We got a ton of snow so we went sledding a few times. We can’t wait to go skiing! The boys are going to take ski lessons every Saturday.
  • Have you seen The Peanut Butter Falcon? It is such a great movie. We also watched Aladdin with the boys. It was good.
  • Do you do Elf on the Shelf? Our elf hasn’t come yet because we are feeling lazy, ha! I guess we should let him make an appearance soon.
  • The Utes have a big football game tomorrow. I hope they can win the Pac 12 championship! We are making pizza! GO UTES!

  1. I make eggnog every Christmas Eve. It is basically my ice cream recipe, before freezing. I beat 6 eggs until frothy, add about 1 c sugar, 2 t vanilla, 2 c whipping cream, 4 c milk, beat together and refrigerate until ready to drink. Add a sprinkle of nutmeg to the top when serving. This is how my mother in law made it.

I am also an avowed cookie baker. I have done four cookie bars for wedding and just finished a baking spree for a holiday home tour. A recipe I always use I got from you several years ago. It is for Chocolate Toffee Almond cookies with sea salt. I think I got the recipe as an advance treat for ordering Cookie Cravings. I get rave reviews for it and suggest you put it out there again. Thank you for giving my baking such inspiration.
