I love oatmeal raisin cookies, they are one of my all-time favorite cookies. I wish I could eat them every day, but I don’t always have time to bake cookies and I probably shouldn’t be eating cookies every single day. I try to take a few days off during the week:)

When I am craving cookies and don’t have time to bake or am trying to be “good” I make No-Bake Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Energy Bites. They taste just like oatmeal raisin cookies, but are a healthy little treat! The best part? They only take ten minutes to make and you don’t have to turn on the oven.

I also love making these easy energy bites for the boys because they think they are getting lucky when I let them have a treat for breakfast or during the day. They have no idea they are filled with good for you foods! Don’t tell them because I kind of like being treated like super mom once in awhile:)

These oatmeal raisin energy bites are made with: oats, flaxseed, chia seeds, cinnamon, sea salt, almond butter, honey, vanilla extract, and raisins. Less than ten ingredients and I bet you have all of them or at least most of them in your pantry right now!

And I know some of you are raisin haters, that is fine, I don’t understand your hate, but that is your choice. If you don’t like raisins, you can replace the raisins with dried cranberries or chocolate chips. And if you do like raisins, yay, high five, go team!! You can add chocolate chips to the raisins too. Raisins AND chocolate chips…major fist bump! Sooooooo good!

The energy bites seriously take about ten minutes flat to make. You can keep them in your fridge for up to two weeks and grab them when you are on the go or in need of a sweet treat. I like to eat them before or after a workout or when I need just a little something sweet in the afternoon or before bed. You know those times of day when the sweet cravings are out of control. Well, these little bites are a lifesaver!

No-Bake Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Energy Bites

These easy no-bake energy bites taste just like oatmeal raisin cookies and they only take minutes to make! They make a great breakfast on the go, healthy snack, or dessert.

  • In a large bowl, combine the oats, ground flaxseed, chia seeds, cinnamon, and salt.
  • Place the almond butter in a small microwave safe bowl. Heat in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. You want it to be soft and slightly melted. Stir until smooth.
  • Add the honey and vanilla extract to the melted almond butter. Stir until smooth. Pour over the oat mixture and stir until well combined. Stir in the raisins.
  • Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1-2 tablespoons per ball. Place in an airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
  • Note-if you don't like raisins, you can use dried cranberries or chocolate chips instead. Or add some mini chocolate chips in with the raisins.

  1. These are very tasty! I left out the honey, used natural peanut butter, and dark chocolate chips instead of raisins and they were great. No doubt the honey would up their deliciousness, but the recipe still works nicely with only the sweetness from the dark chocolate chips.

    1. I forgot to mention in my comment I substituted sunbutter instead of almond!! Added toasted coconut for flax and hemp seed for chia.

    Made these, by making my own almond butter and date paste (with tiny bit of oat milk,) and it came out very yummy.

    Love these! Even my husband likes them! For me, I add in some coconut flakes and dark chocolate chips and for him, he likes when I add in some powdered peanut butter for some extra protein and flavor. Sometimes I’m short on almond butter so I’ll sub in some coconut oil but it’s definitely better with the butter. Also, I’ve tried the cheap almond butter and find it’s not as tasty as some of the other brands in the next price point. There’s so much versatility and is written in my personal recipe book.

    These are amazing! I made a couple of changes: substituted toasted coconut for the flax seed and hemp hearts for the chia seeds, tossed in some toasted walnuts too!

    Delicious. I made these before work. For my coworkers. I used 1/4 cup peanut butter 1/4 cup cashew butter. Both homemade butters. Also subbed the chai with hemp seeds. Delicious. I may have ate a few this am.

    I made this recipe and it didn’t come out like anything in the description or pictures. Now granted it, I didn’t have anything for honey or a substitute, but it came out like eating hard dried oatmeal
