Summer Outdoor Dinner Party
Updated January 02, 2016
We recently hosted a summer outdoor dinner party and today we are inviting you all to attend! We wish you could have all been seated at the table with us, but we hope you enjoy the photos. I love summertime and it was fun to kick off the season with good friends and food.
We made the invitations out of brown paper bags. I have horrible handwriting so my friend Mindy came to the rescue. They turned out super cute! I rolled the invitations up with twine and added a purple flower for color.
Josh hung outdoor lights and made a shade cover to keep the patio cool and cozy.
We set the table with a neutral tablecloth, white dishes, and drumstick allium flowers. Josh also cut tree trunk rounds that we placed down the center of the table to create a rustic runner.
Each place setting had a Venice paisley napkin and menu. We wrote the menu on brown paper bags to match the invitations. We added a sprig of fresh mint for a fresh touch…and to keep the menus from blowing away:)
The menu included the following: Sabra Hummus, Babaganoush, and Veggies with Grilled Pita Bread, Watermelon, Feta, & Mint Salad, Green Salad with Blueberries, Peaches, Almonds, & Raspberry Vinaigrette, Mediterranean Couscous Salad, Greek Grilled Chicken Skewers & Veggie Kebabs, and Deep Dish Chocolate Mint Cookies with Chocolate Mint Ice Cream.
We took an old piece of wood and painted it with chalkboard paint to create a sign for the party. We hung it over the food table. I love this quote!
We served World Market sodas and they were a hit! I love the Blood Orange!
We also had lemon water. The Blue Glass Yorkshire Dispenser is perfect for summer parties!
Fun straws!
The drink table!
Sipping away!
Mingling!
Dinner time!
I love our patio space! The chairs and green stool are from World Market and Josh made the Raised Herb Garden.
We had such a great time at our Summer Outdoor Dinner Party! It was great to share a night of good food, conversation, and laughter with friends. I told Josh I want to have an outdoor dinner party every weekend. It was so much fun!
Make sure you come back and visit this week-you don’t want to miss the recipes!
Disclosure-World Market provided some of the items for our party, but our opinions are our own. We love that store and shop there all of the time.
What a beautiful back yard, tasty menu, and a gorgeous tablescape! i would have loved to enjoy that summer supper with you!
What a fun night. Can’t wait for the next one, hint hint! Your photos turned out dyn-o-mite!
This is amazing! I love all of the attention to detail!
Did you grill the chicken ahead of time? I would love to know how you handled that one as we are planning a summer party and would like to get as much done ahead of time as possible.
Thanks!
This is such a cute party. I hope it’s ok, I have linked back to it for a Dinner Party Themes roundup post I am doing.
