Newport, Oregon
Updated March 14, 2023
The next stop on our ten day Oregon trip was a fun little city along the coast, Newport. We drove from Bend to Newport, which is about a 3 hour drive. We didn’t have a ton of time to spend in Newport, but we sure enjoyed the time we did have.
When we rolled into town, we grabbed a quick bite to eat and went straight to the Oregon Coast Aquarium. We knew Caleb would love it and he sure did. He loved looking at all of the fish. He kept saying, “What is that?” We got to watch the otters eat lunch and Caleb went crazy. He loves otters!
For dinner, we drove a few miles outside of Newport to Depoe Bay to dine at Restaurant Beck. I am one lucky lady, I had two handsome guys to take me out to dinner:) The view was gorgeous and the food was outstanding. Thanks Chef Justin Wills.
The next morning we went to Yaquina Head Lighthouse.
We also went for a little walk on the beach.
Caleb loved getting his feet in the sand.
Little Caleb feet!
Thanks Newport for a great time! Make sure you come back to hear about our next stop on the coast-Canon Beach!

How cute are those tiny Caleb footprints?? I can just hear him saying “What’s that??” at the aquarium!! Great recap of Newport 🙂
I haven’t been to Newport, but I want to go now. What a pretty place! And Caleb is so cute!
I love spending time in Newport. It has changed from the sleepy fishing town I knew. I lived nearby in Otter Rock and had my first teaching job near there. I still love it just the same. Thinking of heading there do my 60th birthday Two weeks away. your pictures inspire me !
Thanks
Those little feet are the cutest thing.
Awww… Caleb is so adorable. He must be psyched to see fishes and otters. And, you look so different in the picture. At first, I thought it was your younger sister who held Caleb. 😀
The little ones always love the aquarium. =) Caleb is too adorable!
great you went to the aquarium. I was fortuante to take my kids there when they were little to see. Keiko (free willy) before they unfornately had to move him.. did you get to see a Duck game here in Eugene?
No, we didn’t get to see a Duck game. We will have to come back:)
