  • I bet some of you are sick of me talking about skiing, but we keep getting snow, so we are still skiing. Caleb and I hiked up to the back side of Alta and skied down. It was a good day.
  • March Madness is down to the final four, all number one seeds. Who are you cheering for?
  • The very best.
  • This weekend, we are headed to San Francisco for spring break. We are going to a Warriors game and a Giants game. Any other recommendations for us?

  1. Hi!

I have a few kid-friendly recommendations for you in SF! I lived there for years & now live about 30 miles south of the city.
    Ice cream – Mitchellā€™s, Salt & Straw, Humphrey Slowcombeā€™s
Pizza: Tonyā€™s, Che Fico (at Chase Stadium)
Culture & Fun: Tour of Alcatraz (pre-book), Walk through Chinatown, rent bikes & cross the Golden Gate Bridge (careful, please!!) to Sausalito & have lunch & take the ferry back to SF, walking over the bridge is fun too, free walking tours, hop on / hop off bus.

    Have fun!!

  2. Where was the pastry photo taken from? Is it a local Utah bakery? Iā€™m dying to find a good pastry shop.

  3. Josh,
Noā€¦not sick of your always gorgeous ski photos! Iā€™m now in flat Kansas but used to live in Ogden and miss those breathtaking mountains of yours.

    1. I agree with other person that you MUST take the boys on the ferry across for self-guided Alcatraz tour! Then fish and chips at Fishermanā€™s Wharf.

Also, DO take the driverless Waymo car. The boys will be over the moon excited. We just returned from a Presidentā€™s Day trip there with a 14 year old boy and heā€™s still talking about these two adventures. (Just download the Waymo app when you get into town. Works just like Uber)

  4. hey girl- great list! Yummy food and cute clothes. Y’all have fun in San Francisco. That pastry photo looks so amazing! Have a blessed day

  5. We live in San Francisco with sporty boys around the same age. Alcatraz is super fun and the boat ride is beautiful. Definitely recommend the ferry building farmers market Saturday morning (for mom!). Golden Gate Park is so lush right now, and itā€™s fun to ride bikes through the park out to the ocean and grab lunch (Hook Fish is a fave). Fort Point is free and interesting, at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge. Have fun!

  6. Society of Lies by Lauren Ling Brown. A great mystery-suspense read
It was also a Reeseā€™s book club choice

  7. Bring a sweatshirt and jacket it is very windy in San Francisco today. (Friday) Be sure to go to the Ferry Building in San Francisco. Golden Park is very pretty this time of year. If you have time Fioli in Woodside has beautiful gardens.
