FAQ
Below is a list of Frequently Asked Questions. If you have any additional questions, please send us an email at: twopeasandtheirpod@gmail.com.
How did you meet?
Josh and I met in Salt Lake City. We lived a few blocks away from each other and met at church. We started out as best friends…and eventually he convinced me to marry him. Ha!
How long have you been married?
We got married in June of 2008. It was a perfect day. To see photos from our wedding, visit the wedding section on our blog.
Why did you start a blog?
Honestly, I didn’t intend to start a food blog, it was an accident. Josh had his own blog while we were dating- he posted his outdoor adventures, family photos, and political views. Since we did a lot of cooking and baking together, I started posting some of our recipes and photos. Our friends and family loved them, so I kept posting more. I never thought other people would start reading the blog. I was surprised and excited when I started getting comments from strangers. Eventually, the blog transitioned into a full time food blog. Josh is no longer allowed to rant about politics.
Why the name Two Peas and Their Pod?
Josh actually came up with the blog name. We were brainstorming and he threw that one out..it stuck!
Does Josh really help in the kitchen?
YES! We love cooking and baking together. The kitchen is our happy place. We can whip up a tasty meal in no time. Four hands are so much better than two. Josh is really good at dough- I call him my dough boyJ He always makes the pizza crust, bread doughs, fresh pasta, etc. And yes, he even does the dishes. He is the best!
How do you stay so thin?
We eat what we make; we just don’t eat ALL of it. We share our creations with friends, neighbors, co-workers, etc. Again, I believe in a healthy balance. We eat healthy most of the time, exercise daily, and allow room for splurges. It all balances out.
Are you both vegetarians?
I don’t eat meat, but I will enjoy sushi from time to time. Josh doesn’t eat red meat, but loves chicken, pork, and fish. So technically neither of us are 100% vegetarian, but I am close.
What is your favorite thing to make?
COOKIES! I have over 60 cookie recipes on our blog. I love creating new cookie recipes. Baking is a great stress reliever for me and cookies are just fun and comforting. Who doesn’t love a warm, fresh cookie right out of the oven?
Do you take all your own photos?
Yes. All of the photos on this blog are taken by us, unless otherwise stated. They may not be the best, but they are ours. All photos are protected by the Creative Commons License.
What camera and/or lenses do you use?
We have a Canon Digital Rebel XSi 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera. We love it, but we are still learning. We try to shoot in natural light, but we both work full time jobs, so that is not always possible. I do edit my photos on my Mac, in iPhoto.
Will you link to my blog?
I do not exchange links with other bloggers, but I do link to blogs and sites that I read and love. If you have a link that you think I would enjoy, just let me know. I just don’t do exchanges.
Can I link to your blog?
Yes. Link away!
Would you like to review a product or host a giveaway on your blog?
I normally don’t participate in product reviews or giveaways. If you have a product that is relevant to my readers or you think I would enjoy, send me an email, but no promises.
Who designed your blog?
TCDawsonDesigns designed our blog. They were fabulous to work with. I highly recommend them. Our blog started out on Blogger, but we made the transition to Word Press and we love it.
